CAROL MOLYNEAUX

I have always been drawn to and captivated by the beauty of the natural world and have sought subject matter and mediums that have allowed me to explore these themes. Creating pastel animal portraits and bringing these beloved family members to light is immensely satisfying, especially knowing how important these life partners are or have been.I once wondered what it was that drew me to detail in my work, and it occurred to me that at a very young age, my blind father would ask me, “What do you see Carol Ann?". I learned to look and see, to discover details beyond a cursory glance. After years of working as a graphic designer, I realized I needed to align myself more with the natural world. When I asked myself, “What do you really want to do,?” an inner voice said, “draw horses” (this may have been my 12-year-old voice). So, one portrait led to another and then to another...Thank you for your patronage and for supporting the arts.*
